Make a call displaying your TTNC number using Dial Out

Use the built-in keypad in myTTNC to make a call, with your TTNC number displayed.

Making a call using the keypad

Want to make a call displaying your TTNC number? Follow the steps below:

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the 'Make a Call' icon in the myTTNC header.

  3. Click the 'Make a Call' icon in the header
  4. In the 'Number to call' input, enter the number you want to call. There are three ways to do this:
    • Use the keypad to enter the number, as you would on a normal phone.
    • Type the number using your computer's number pad.
    • Clicking in the input will allow you to select from a list of recently dialled numbers.

  5. Enter the number you want to call
  6. If you want to use any default settings you've set up: Go to step 7.

    Otherwise: In the 'Your number' input, enter the landline or mobile number you want to make the call from. There are three ways to do this:
    • Use the keypad to enter the number, as you would on a normal phone.
    • Type the number using your computer's number pad.
    • If you have previously saved the number as a destination using address book, you can click in the input and select it from the drop down list.

  7. Enter the landline or mobile number you want to call from
  8. Use the 'Display number' drop down to select the TTNC number you want to display on your customer's handset.

  9. Select the TTNC you want to display when calling out
  10. You can also choose to record the call by ticking the checkbox. Please note this will add a £0.02 (2p) per minute surcharge on top of your call costs.

  11. Click the 'Make call' button and we will ring your landline or mobile.

    By default: When you answer, we will play a message prompting you to press '1' on your phone's keypad to initiate the call. You'll hear ringing until the person you're calling answers.

    If you have disabled the 'accept call' prompt: When you answer, you'll hear ringing until the person you're calling answers.

  12. Click the 'Make call' button to make the call

Making a call from your Call Logs

You can quickly call back anyone who has previously called you via the Call Logs.

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the 'Call Statistics' tab in the left hand menu.
  3. Click 'View Call Logs'.

  4. Click the 'View Call Logs' link in the left hand menu
  5. There are two ways you can make a call:
    • Click the number in the 'Caller' column.

    • Click the number to call it
    • If you have clicked the 'Information' icon, click the 'Make a call' link in the bubble

    • Click the 'Make a call' link to start the call

    Please note: It is not possible to call Withheld numbers.


  6. The Dial Out keypad will appear with the 'Number to call' input pre-filled with the customer's number.

  7. If you want to use any default settings you've set up: Go to step 7.

    Otherwise: In the 'Your number' input, enter the landline or mobile number you want to make the call from.

  8. Enter the landline or mobile number you want to call from
  9. Click the 'Make call' button and we will ring your landline or mobile.

    By default: When you answer, we will play a message prompting you to press '1' on your phone's keypad to initiate the call. You'll hear ringing until the person you're calling answers.

    If you have disabled the 'accept call' prompt: When you answer, you'll hear ringing until the person you're calling answers.

  10. Click the 'Make call' button to make the call

Editing your default settings

The default settings will automatically populate most of the Dial Out form, making it a great way to save time if you want to use the same settings each time you make a call.

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the 'Make a Call' icon in the myTTNC header.
  3. Click the 'Settings' button.

  4. Click the 'Settings' button
  5. You can now edit the following options:
    • Your number: The landline or mobile you want to use to make the call.
    • Display number: The number you want to display on the handset of the person you're calling.
    • Record your calls?: If you want to automatically record all calls you make, tick the checkbox.
    • Play the 'accept call' prompt?: You can choose to hear an 'accept call' prompt whenever you make a call. This requires you to press the '1' key on your phone's keypad to initiate the call, meaning your phone's voicemail will never pick up the call instead.

  6. When you're done, click the 'Save settings' button.

Checking your call rates

Want to know how much a call will cost you? Follow the steps below to view the call rates.

  1. Log in by either clicking on the login button in the header or by going to www.myttnc.co.uk
  2. Click on the 'Make a Call' icon in the myTTNC header.
  3. Click the 'Settings' button.

  4. Click the 'Settings' button
  5. In the 'Number to call' field, enter the number you want to call.

  6. In the 'Your number' field, enter the landline or mobile number you want to make the call from.

  7. Click the 'Check cost' button to view the rates.
