Every account comes with a standard voicemail to email service that has a generic greeting message, but if you want your own custom greeting message then Voicemail Pro will let you do that.
You can update your custom greeting message whenever you want to by using myTTNC (our online control panel) or by using our Dial-In system.
- Upgrade from the standard voicemail service with a custom voicemail greeting
- Get all voicemail messages sent direct to your email inbox
- A bespoke voicemail greeting improves your company's professional image
- Your greeting message can be changed at any time to suit changes in your business or even the time of year
How it works
It's one of those days where the phones are so busy and you just can't get to every call.
Your custom greeting plays to introduce your voicemail. Because it's custom you can tailor it to manage your customers in the way that only you would.
We then email your message to you for you to follow up. You can even pick up your Voicemail through our Dial In Management.

Setting up Voicemail Pro
There are two ways you can set up Voicemail Pro, depending on when you want it to kick in.
When a call goes unanswered
As with a traditional voicemail service, Voicemail Pro can pick up any calls that you miss. To get set up all you need to do is select a voicemail greeting and then let us know where you'd like to receive your emails..
You can choose what format we should use when emailing voicemail messages. You can also receive SMS alerts (charged at 12p per text).
Direct to voicemail
Want all your calls to go straight through to voicemail? Use the Call Forwarding page in myTTNC to divert all calls direct to voicemail. The rest of the set up is exactly the same as normal voicemail.
You can see how easy setting up Voicemail Pro is by visiting our Help Centre.
Creating your Voicemail greeting
You can change your Voicemail greeting as often as you like. Here's how:
- You can make your own recording and upload it to myTTNC.
- Use our Dial-In recording system. You can access the same system through our Dial In Management if you need to change it in a hurry while you're out and about.
- We've got a number of professional voiceover artists who can create the message for you. For more information and to hear samples of our voiceover artists go to our Professional Voice Recording page. Prices start from £35+VAT.
If you wanted you can also have us send you a text to let you know you've got a Voicemail message. Then as soon as you can, you can log into your emails and get your message.
Texts cost 12p per message and you can either have that cost deducted from the call credit on your account, or set up a separate SMS Credit balance (and reduce the cost per text). Find out more about Email and SMS alerts and how else they can help you manage your account.
Voicemail Pro FAQ's
Can my calls go to a landline during office hours and then straight to voicemail out of hours?
If you have the Time Based Forwarding service on your number, you can set your out of hours calls to go direct to Voicemail.
Is there a charge to receive voicemail messages?
Voicemail messages are charged based on the duration of the voicemail message (1p minimum charge applies). The charge is worked out using the same rate as forwarding to a UK landline, which will vary depending on your tariff and number type.
Can the voicemail messages be sent to more than one email?
We can send any voicemails you receive to up to 10 different email addresses.
What's the difference between the included Voicemail and Voicemail Pro?
The standard Voicemail service we provide doesn't allow you to record your own custom voicemail greeting - Voicemail Pro does.
This makes you sound more professional and can also be used to help strengthen your brand image.
